- Isla de los Pájaros (Birds’ Island): It’s an island located in Gulf of San José, 800 meters away from the coast. It’s a reproductive area of about 10 autochthonous species like Magallanes penguin, ducks, herons and seagulls among others. It can observed from the shore of the peninsula by means of a powerful and high definition binocular.
- Punta Tombo. It’s the biggest continental colony of Magallanes penguins.
- Gaiman. Welsh colony. Located on the outskirts of Trelew, over 80 km away from Puerto Madryn. It is highly well known thanks to its cakes.
